Mannford Soccer Club Policy

Complex Policy

  • Mannford Soccer Complex is a Tobacco, Smoke, and Vape Free Facility, please refrain from smoking on or around our fields, concession, stand, restrooms, bleachers, spectators, and players.   If the wind is blowing please be conscious of children, coaches, and spectators around you, by staying downwind of others.  Please refrain from using these products near the fields, the front, or bathroom side of the concession; and in the bathrooms, storage room, and concession area.  We do not want it blowing into the faces of our kids, spectators, coaches, visitors, or into the buildings.  Next to the road, in the parking lots, or behind the concession are areas for smoking and/or vaping.
  • Parking is located on the graveled area at the bottom of the hill south of the concession stand; on the basketball court at the north end of the complex; and along the road on the west side of the complex. Please do not pull your vehicles onto or next to the fields; and do not park on driveways or in yards.
  • PLEASE watch your speed on the road around the complex; cars park on both sides, and kids tend to move between these cars.  We do have a police presence in the area, and we remind you to obey all traffic sign and laws.
  • Do not play, hang on, or climb on our goals.  If you see a child or adult doing any of these we ask you to stop them; or alert a coach or board member immediately so we can help prevent accidents and damage to our equipment.
  • We have volunteers who work hard to keep our fields in the best condition possible; if you are needing to drive on the complex, you must have a current board members permission first.

Game Day Policy

  • To help ensure that a coach can control his/her sideline, in which he is responsible, MSC adopted the following requirements for home and visiting teams:
    • Visiting spectators must sit on the same side as their team;
    • Home spectators must sit on the same side as their team;
    • Sit at least 3 yards back from the sideline;
    • Don’t say anything negative, or in a demeaning tone, to either team’s players, parents, or coaches;
    • Do not speak, display rude or inappropriate gestures, make threats to, or about, game officials before, during, or after a game;
    • Fans within earshot of the sidelines, team, coach, or game officials, need to be aware if there appears to be an injury on either team; stay quiet until the injured player has been attended to; and the official has allowed the game to resume.
    • Referees will report coaches, managers, and players who receive a yellow or red card, to GotSport; as well as GCSA and/or OSA, if needed. Home fans/team sit on the opposite side of the field from the visitor fans/team. If unclear on which side is the home side check with your referee or home coaches.
  • Both home and visiting coaches, teams, and fans should carefully read MSC's Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy.
  • Please pick up all trash before leaving the complex.
  • Weather delays/reschedules are determined by coaches, referees, and/or the club president.
  • The last home coach at the complex must double check that all doors and equipment are locked and put away.

*Note: Home coaches, visiting coaches, MSC board members, or referees may choose to require fans to sit on the left side of their team; away from the Assistant Referee; and keep the area clear 5 yards each side of the centerline.

Game Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy

  • Games that need to be rescheduled must go through the Club Ref Assignor/Scheduler.
  • Per Green Country Soccer Association Rules, coaches need to inform each other and the home complex of a reschedule/cancel of a game asap.
  • Games needing to be cancelled or rescheduled from the original scheduled date,  for any reason other than weather, need to be reported within 72 hours before the game is set to be played; per GCSA and OSA.
  • MSC coaches have one week to contact our Club Ref Assignor/Scheduler to set the new day/time for the rescheduled/cancelled games.
  •  Any game cancelled the day of the competition will be sent to the the Games and Disciplinary board of GCSA/OSA for a ruling of the game.  Games cancelled the night before or after the 72 hour deadline, will be considered on a case by case basis.  Mannford Soccer Club reserves the right to schedule games that get rescheduled over and over again.  This means that the ref scheduler will pick a date and both coaches will ether make it that day or the one that shows up will take the win (1-0), the other team will take the forfeit.  This game will also be submitted to the GCSA Games and Disciplinary department.

Communication

Our club uses GroupMe for communication. Each team will have a group to receive information about schedules, practices, games, etc.  Parents may ask questions, share pictures, congratulate teams, etc.

The groups are not for complaints, negativity, criticism, etc. These groups are for, and about, our players; some of our players are part of their teams's groups.

If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it;

Keep it clean;

Remember your audience;

Club complaints can be addressed at the seasonal board meetings;

Only make comments that you are willing to make if standing in front of parents and the players;

Toxicity will be removed;

If things aren't going your way; then you might want to take a break before posting

If you have a problem; don't make it other's business.

Be POSITIVE!
