- To help ensure that a coach can control his/her sideline, in which he is responsible, MSC adopted the following requirements for home and visiting teams:
- Visiting spectators must sit on the same side as their team;
- Home spectators must sit on the same side as their team;
- Sit at least 3 yards back from the sideline;
- Don’t say anything negative, or in a demeaning tone, to either team’s players, parents, or coaches;
- Do not speak, display rude or inappropriate gestures, make threats to, or about, game officials before, during, or after a game;
- Fans within earshot of the sidelines, team, coach, or game officials, need to be aware if there appears to be an injury on either team; stay quiet until the injured player has been attended to; and the official has allowed the game to resume.
- Referees will report coaches, managers, and players who receive a yellow or red card, to GotSport; as well as GCSA and/or OSA, if needed. Home fans/team sit on the opposite side of the field from the visitor fans/team. If unclear on which side is the home side check with your referee or home coaches.
- Both home and visiting coaches, teams, and fans should carefully read MSC's Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy.
- Please pick up all trash before leaving the complex.
- Weather delays/reschedules are determined by coaches, referees, and/or the club president.
- The last home coach at the complex must double check that all doors and equipment are locked and put away.
*Note: Home coaches, visiting coaches, MSC board members, or referees may choose to require fans to sit on the left side of their team; away from the Assistant Referee; and keep the area clear 5 yards each side of the centerline.
